INTERIOR DESIGN

I am classically trained as an interior designer. Creating beautiful and functional interior environments is my passion. The phases of design allow the process of designing a space to move with an efficient flow. This process must stay organized, and communication is key. Although impeccable style is a must, a project will find its success in organization and communication.

Through mutual respect for this process and each other, we will keep the project creative and on task. During our initial consultation, we will review the phases of design, from concept through construction. We will make sure we are a good fit and I’ll answer any questions. I believe that understanding our contract and believing that it holds us both accountable, is the best way to create a beautiful working relationship. The phases of design, along with the budget will all be reviewed clearly. Transparency and lack of fear around these discussions is extremely necessary. My goal is that the space represents your most curated style and personal story, so that it feels effortlessly like your best self. There are very few things that I enjoy as much as watching a project unfold and knowing that this living design will be a central piece of your life.

PHASES OF DESIGN

Schematic Design

Concept is key! Style quizzes, pretty pictures and so so many questions. What is the main function of the space? What is important? What works and doesn’t? I need all the details.

Design Development

We know your style, we understand the project, I am part of the family now. It’s time to really dig in and start designing. This is where we will start space planning, making selections, finding the right contractor, breaking down the budget and looking at the big picture of how to reach our goals.

Construction Documents

Most of the drawings will happen in this phase. We will get down to the nitty gritty of the execution of the project.  Communication will be key between all parties involved.

Construction Admin

I will oversee the project and be your advocate for through construction process. The design will be mostly complete and communicated at this point, and it’s time for action.
